Oral history interview with William Laux [sound recording] / interviewed by Howard Fredricks. 1968.

Laux discusses growing up on a farm in Michigan and comments on community life and his high school and college education. He details his career as a professor of history at the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse from 1922-1967. He describes his philosophy of teaching and the study of history. He also discusses university administrators and fellow faculty members, including Albert Sanford and presidents Fassett Allen Cotton and George Snodgrass.
